Two years ago, I purchased the iFi GO bar portable DAC/AMP and have been using it ever since. This device enhances the listening experience with X-Bass and X-Space features, providing richer and more immersive sound. Then, last year, an upgraded version, the iFi GO bar Kensei, was released. In addition to the existing X-Bass & X-Space features, it introduced K2HD technology, offering even deeper and more refined sound reproduction. Thanks to this, the device became an essential part of my audio setup.

However, despite its excellent performance, I found it somewhat inconvenient to control music apps on my smartphone while using the DAC/AMP. Furthermore, iPhones, with their power limitations, often fail to function properly when paired with high-power-demand earphones.

To address these issues and enhance its practicality, I designed and 3D-modeled an auxiliary attachment that allows a battery connection and can be easily attached to a smartphone using the MagSafe method. I then 3D-printed the model to maximize usability.

For those willing to tolerate minor inconveniences for superior sound quality, this kind of DIY project might be another source of enjoyment.
